Parkland County

Parkland County is immediately west of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The County of Parkland became officially incorporated in
1969.
Prior to that time, this area was known as Municipal District of
Stony Plain.
This MD was formed in 1942 with the merging of the MD of Spruce
Grove, the MD of Inga, and MD of Tomahawk into the MD of Stony
Plain.
In 1995 the County of Parkland became Parkland County.
The County includes the communties of Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Entwistle,
Wabamun, Betula, Edmonton Beach, Kapasiwin, Lakeview, Point
Alison, Seba
Beach, Langford Park, Wabamun Lake Park, Sundance, Wabamun Indian
Reserve, Highvale, Keephills, Tomahawk, Hasse Lake Park, Carvel,
Manly
Corner, Beach Corner, Acheson, Gainford, Magnolia, Fallis.
Parkland County does not include the village of Parkland,
which is south of Calgary, and about 400 km south of Parkland
County.
